Blocking contacts is common on WhatsApp today and has a quick nothing to be ashamed of. Whether it’s your hot ex, a spammy company, or someone who got your number without permission. The problem is that until now, you had to enter the chat and open the message in order to permanently block the contact. This means that, in most cases, people could tell if you read their message before you blocked them.

How to activate quick lock mode on WhatsApp?
Quick Blocking mode initially appeared in the WhatsApp Android beta and has since made several appearances in other versions such as WhatsApp Android 2.23.2.5 and WhatsApp Android , so it won’t be available on all devices initially unless you’re part of the beta. Simply put, what it does is create different shortcuts to block contacts.

So the best that many can do is rely on their ability to take these new shortcuts and quickly block the most annoying messages on WhatsApp.
