WhatsApp statuses came about several years ago to share ephemeral updates with friends and close contacts through the app. In total, a status lasts only 24 hours, which can include photos, videos, GIFs, texts, etc. The truth is that WhatsApp statuses have become so important that the app is integrating new updates to the statuses.
Voice statuses
The first update, and one of the most anticipated, is voice statuses. Now, you can record and share voice messages that can last up to 30 seconds in WhatsApp statuses. This function would be similar to the voice tweets that Twitter integrated several months ago but that are rarely used by users. For its part, WhatsApp maintains that: “voice statuses can be used to send more personal updates, especially if you find it more comfortable to express yourself orally than in writing.”
Public private selector
So far, the instant messaging app has allowed us to set a specific audience that we want to reach. However, the privacy settings you set will be for all statuses. Now, WhatsApp will allow you to update the privacy settings by status, so that you can choose who sees your statuses every time you update them. However, if you do not change the settings for each status. The most recent audience you have selected will be saved and used as the default for your next status.”
WhatsApp will imitate Discord and Telegram with this new feature
Reactions to the states
Although this feature is already available to Lebanon WhatsApp Number List several users, some more had not received the update. It is the possibility of reacting quickly to the statuses of friends and close contacts. You will only have to swipe up and tap on one of the eight emojis to respond to any status.
Preview links in status
Until now, when you posted a link in a WhatsApp Lebanon WhatsApp Number Database status, you just put the link and that’s it. Now, the app will show you a preview of what the link contains, just like you see when you send the link via text. “Visual previews improve the look of statuses and also give contacts a clearer idea of what the link contains before they click on it,” the app explained in its blog post.
These updates have started to be rolled out to Bulk Database users around the world. And will be fully rolled out over the next few weeks. Remember that to get the new improvements you must have the WhatsApp application updated.
