Large WhatsApp groups will be automatically muted

One of the most common headaches in WhatsApp groups is that they can quickly fill up with many messages. Now imagine a group with a large number of members, it would be an avalanche of notifications. In that case, the best solution is to mute the group so that at least the notifications don’t arrive.

Fortunately, WhatsApp is aware of

This problem and is taking action. As reported by our colleagues at WABetainfo, the instant messaging app is working on a feature that would automatically mute groups. Of course, the outlet argues that the option would be implemented for groups that exceed 256 members. Yes, you might think that this is a group “too big to be real” but remember that the number of participants per group was recently increased.

It seems that when someone adds

You to a WhatsApp group with more than 256 participants, WhatsApp will automatically mute it for you. But don’t worry, the app will show you a notice reminding you that Portugal WhatsApp Number List the group is . “This group has more than 256 participants and has been automatically to help you reduce notifications,” is the message you’ll see when you enter the group. However, you’ll have the option to unmute the group and receive notifications again without any problem.

The feature is still in development, but WABetainfo was able to see what’s new in the latest version of WhatsApp beta, so it’s not yet available to all users. Only those who Portugal WhatsApp Number Database are to the beta version will be able to access it. Although the update was in version 2.22.39, it is not yet active in the Google Play Store app.

The feature is to reach

All users through the official version of the app, however, we will have  to wait and see if it passes the beta tests or not. If so, we could have the new feature at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year.
